A little piece of her story
Cafe 24 was born from a lifetime of family kitchens, Sunday dinners, and the belief that food is a love language. Chef Shannae Mims built this place from scratch — and she means that literally.
It started at age 10
Shannae grew up cooking alongside her father — himself a chef — and making memories with her grandmother and brother in Mississippi. Those early meals shaped everything she believes about food.
Twelve years, then a turn
She spent over a decade in the medical field before her heart pulled her somewhere new — toward something built on passion and purpose, where good food could bring people together.
What Cafe 24 became
Today Cafe 24 is an Erie original — carry-out lunch and dinner, BBQ, and full catering, all made fresh daily from scratch. Every plate carries a little piece of Shannae's story, served with soul.
